Some people discover a rapper through a song. Others recognize a face from a video that keeps appearing in their feed. For Lil Esco, the second route helped open the door to the first. A casual recording shared online brought him attention, and he used that recognition to pursue music.
But who is the person behind the familiar clip? His story includes an Atlanta upbringing, an interest in freestyle rap and a desire to become known for more than a single internet moment.
Born on April 28, 2005, according to published birthday profiles, he is 21 years old as of October 2026. Although many older biographies still describe him as a teenager, those ages belong to earlier chapters of his life.
This article explores his background, early recordings and public identity, while separating reported facts from uncertain claims about his personal life.

Who Is Lil Esco?
Lil Esco is an American rapper and internet personality associated with Atlanta, Georgia. His early fame came from a short clip linked to the phrase commonly written as “Ight Imma F*** Witcha.”
The recording became widely recognizable, giving him an audience before he had established himself through music. People shared the moment because it was memorable, even when they knew little about the person appearing in it.
In a December 2019 interview with Vents Magazine, he explained that the clip began while he and RobThePlayboy were joking around outside. He also said he wanted to take music seriously and turn the attention into something lasting.
That ambition helps explain why his biography includes both internet content and recorded rap.

How Old Is Lil Esco?
He is 21 years old as of October 2026, based on his reported birthday of April 28, 2005.
He turned 18 in April 2023, 20 in April 2025 and 21 in April 2026. His next birthday falls on April 28, 2027, when he will turn 22.
Confusion usually comes from older articles that still display the age recorded when they were first published. A biography calling him 16 may have been accurate in late 2021, but it does not describe his age today.
His birthday gives readers a clearer reference point. It also explains why different articles published within the same year sometimes list different ages.
What Is His Real Name?
His real name is widely reported as Gavin Kennedy. Briefly’s biography uses that name and identifies Atlanta as his birthplace.
Some websites provide conflicting answers, so the distinction between a reported personal name and an established stage name matters.
Lil Esco and Lil Esco 28 are the names connected with his public identity. Fans may know those names from captions, video titles or artist credits without ever encountering Gavin Kennedy.
A repeated claim is not automatically reliable, especially when an article contradicts itself. The most useful approach is to favor consistent reporting and acknowledge uncertainty where stronger evidence is unavailable.
His Atlanta Background and Early Interest in Music
Atlanta forms an important part of his story. He named the city as his hometown in his early interview, providing direct support for that detail.
He also described moving to his aunt’s home while in fifth grade as a difficult experience. According to his account, he stopped playing basketball and found other interests, including music.
This gives readers some insight into his early life without explaining every family circumstance. It would be speculative to add reasons for the move that he did not provide.
His background is therefore best understood through the experiences he chose to discuss, rather than through assumptions built around a brief interview.
The Viral Moment That Introduced Him to Viewers
The recording that brought him attention was informal. It was not originally presented as a polished music video or a carefully planned entertainment debut.
Its appeal came from a short exchange that viewers could remember and share. The phrase became attached to his identity, allowing people to recognize him across reposts.
That kind of attention can create opportunity, but it also presents a challenge. Audiences may remember the joke more clearly than the creator.
For Lil Esco, moving into music offered a way to introduce another side of himself. It gave viewers something beyond the original clip and allowed him to pursue the interest he had already expressed.
His Connection With RobThePlayboy
RobThePlayboy appears in the story of his early breakthrough and in his recorded work.
Their connection is supported by more than biography descriptions. WorldStarHipHop hosts a music video credited to Lil Esco 28 featuring RobThePlayboy, titled after the phrase associated with the viral clip.
That recording shows how the internet moment became part of a music release. The familiar phrase helped connect the two stages of his public career.
However, collaboration credits do not reveal every detail of a friendship or business arrangement. They establish the work the performers released together, which is the relevant point when discussing their musical connection.
Songs Associated With His Early Career
His early music coverage includes several recurring titles:
- “Ight Imma F*** Witcha”
- “Von Dutch”
- “Bummer”
- “Corona”
- “Blitz”
IMDb lists music video credits for “Von Dutch,” “Corona” and “Blitz.” Contemporary entertainment coverage also identifies “Bummer” among his recordings.
These titles offer a starting point for understanding his work beyond the meme.
They should not automatically be described as chart hits or major commercial successes. A credited release confirms that a recording exists; it does not establish sales, streaming revenue or industry impact.
That distinction keeps his career story accurate without minimizing the effort involved in making music.
Social Media and His Public Image
His established Instagram username is @lilesco28. Famous Birthdays describes his content as connected with lifestyle, music and fashion, and notes that he has designed and sold merchandise.
Those activities help explain why different profiles call him a rapper, influencer or Instagram personality. Each label describes one part of his public work.
Follower numbers need more care. Counts appearing in older articles represent a particular period and should not be presented as current totals.
Likewise, online visibility does not tell readers how often someone posts today or how much money an account earns. Those questions require dated information rather than assumptions based on earlier popularity.
Height, Weight and Other Reported Details
Older biographies estimate his height at approximately 5 feet 5 inches to 5 feet 6 inches, or around 165 to 168 centimeters. Reported weight figures range from 55 to 57 kilograms, approximately 121 to 126 pounds.
These measurements are not verified current figures. Many were published during his teenage years.
There is also a conversion mistake in some profiles: 5 feet 6 inches is approximately 1.68 meters, rather than 1.65 meters.
Exact measurements should therefore be treated cautiously. Photographs cannot resolve the uncertainty because footwear, posture and camera angles influence how tall or heavy someone appears.
Girlfriend and Relationship Status
A current girlfriend or relationship could not be reliably confirmed from the reviewed material.
Some older biographies describe him as single, while others repeat claims about a private partner or engagement. Those accounts do not provide enough evidence for a clear present-day answer.
It is reasonable for readers to be curious, but curiosity does not make a rumor factual. An old relationship label may also become outdated.
The accurate description is that his current dating status remains publicly unverified in the available sources. Naming a partner or declaring an engagement would add certainty that the evidence does not support.
What Is Known About His Net Worth?
Lil Esco’s current net worth is not publicly verified.
Older estimates differ. Briefly reported approximately $300,000 in 2021, while other financial biography pages offered different amounts without establishing a complete picture of his finances.
Music, merchandise and online content can generate income, but possible income sources do not establish personal wealth.
Net worth depends on assets and liabilities. Follower counts, video views and photographs of expensive items cannot provide that calculation.
For readers seeking a precise dollar figure, the available evidence leaves the question unanswered. Presenting an estimate as confirmed would make the biography less trustworthy.
What Happened in April 2021?
Reports published in April 2021 said he had been shot three times and hospitalized.
VladTV’s April 8 report stated that the incident reportedly happened on April 7. It also described an update from his father saying he was recovering and in stable condition.
Some accounts refer to an alleged robbery, but early coverage did not establish every circumstance.
The historical reporting supports that he survived the incident. It should not be expanded into an unsupported account of the motive, attackers or long-term health effects.
Dates matter here too: this was a reported event from 2021, rather than a recent development.
